Fastest Performance for Cloud & On Premises
IS THE FASTEST IN THE SMALLEST FOOTPRINT FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU?
SPEC SFS benchmark tests show Avere to out-perform the big storage vendors while providing the industry’s smallest footprint.
JUST AS FAST IN FRONT OF CLOUD
Avere was the first to run SPECsfs NFS benchmark testing in front of object storage. What were the results? Avere’s testing statistics showed that Avere in front of AWS S3, IBM Cloud Object Storage, and Amplidata had performance results as fast as that of traditional on-premises storage.
All tests used a 3-node FXT 3800 cluster. See public results at spec.org for more information.
SEPARATING PERFORMANCE FROM CAPACITY
The Edge-Core architecture separates performance from capacity and minimizes latency. The Edge filer manages performance, while the core filer, whether this is on premises storage or in the cloud, manages capacity. Dynamic tiering in Avere OS assures that as data activity levels change, so does the location in the tier hierarchy, keeping the most active data on the fastest storage.
SAY GOOD-BYE TO LATENCY
Non-distributed, traditional NAS designs struggle to scale to the levels of performance demanded today. It is difficult to address HDD, storage filer CPU, and network latency easily and simultaneously. Adding Avere FXT Edge filer clusters in front of your core storage and near the users of the data puts the right amount of storage where it is needed most, addressing and eliminating all three types of latency commonly experienced.
